Coalition connects with Dallas students during Morning of Service

There is a need

While hundreds of college representatives were gathered for the 2018 College Board Forum in Dallas, the Coalition for College held its first-ever Morning of Service for members. On Oct. 22, 22 representatives from the Coalition and 14 of its member schools visited three Dallas public high schools to connect with and help support students on their paths to college.

Through a mixture of presentations and informal discussions, members introduced approximately 150 juniors and seniors at Moisés E. Molina, Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Magnet Center, and Woodrow Wilson high schools to the Coalition and its MyCoalition resources. They also advised students on making the most of high school and navigating the college planning, application, and admission process. The event was facilitated by Sara Urquidez, executive director of Academic Success Program (ASP) Dallas, an organization that is part of the CCID Registry .
