FAQs: Our New Partnership with Scoir

 

Now live! We’ve integrated our application process within Scoir, software that many students and counselors use every day. Students can apply to participating Coalition schools directly from their Scoir account, which is free for any student to create. This new way of applying to college simplifies the process by letting students manage more of their admissions journey from one place.

 

Student FAQs

  • Yes! Scoir accounts are free for all students, regardless of whether their high school is a Scoir customer.

    You can create a free Scoir account to begin working on your Application Profile and explore which schools you can apply to via this method

  • Yes! Our application experience serves international students.

  • The Coalition has discontinued its use of the MyCoalition platform. The company that owns these services has rebranded them to the StandOut Admissions Network. Your account built on this platform still exists, and you can log in using the credentials you used to access your MyCoalition account. The new URL for this service is: https://standoutadmissions.com

  • No, the information will not automatically transfer from MyCoalition to Scoir.

  • Most of our member schools will accept our application this year. You can search for schools you can apply to via this method on Scoir.

Student Supporter FAQs

  • Yes, our application is now integrated within the Scoir platform, providing a streamlined process for students to apply.

  • If you’re using a different college guidance management system, or no college guidance management system, you can continue to support your students using your existing processes and tools.

    If your students choose to apply via this integration on Scoir, you will be able to manage any needed document sharing via your existing systems.

  • CBOs will be equipped with tools on Scoir to help guide their students through the college search and application process. If you haven’t yet, apply to join our national registry of CBOs that will be invited to use these free college-planning tools.

  • Please subscribe to the Coalition’s mailing list for information about our future plans as well as opportunities the Coalition provides to help students make smart college choices.
